Project Overview

Florida International University’s Extreme Events Institute is a research organization dedicated to studying the impact of environmental forces and disasters on populations, with the goal of improving detection, preparedness, and response before events occur.

The Institute required a professional, accessible website that could clearly communicate complex research initiatives while maintaining credibility within an academic and public-facing environment.

Responsibilities & Contributions

• Designed and developed the website from the ground up

• Created a clean, structured layout to present complex research content clearly

• Built the site using WordPress with custom front-end development

• Integrated HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for performance, interactivity, and flexibility

• Ensured the site was scalable for future research updates and content growth
